There’s no denying that dogs absolutely love treats. However, as much as they want to eat all the time, there are certain foods that they aren’t allowed to ingest. So, it is vital to keep those away from them.
Dog owner Kara Probin thought that the safety precautions she took were enough. But one day after baking cupcakes, the leftover ones suddenly disappeared.
Kara has two German Shorthaired Pointers named River and Winnie. When she first got Winnie, the dog would grab any food left on the table. Naturally, the dog mom assumed that this time, the younger dog was the one stealing her food and never suspected the older one.
Every time the theft happened, Winnie would look guilty as if she just committed a crime, so the dog mom didn’t pay attention. But when stealing just became a regular thing, she decided that it had to end.
Just when she was devising the perfect plan, another incident took place. Her leftover cake just got stolen from a bowl situated at the very back of her kitchen counter. How did this happen?
Alas, Kara decided to set up a hidden camera in her kitchen. She then left three dog cupcakes on the counter. That was when she finally found out.
In the video below, the ‘unsuspected dog,’ which was River, approached the plate and sniffed the sweets. She then reached for them using her paw until she got a hold of one. She continued doing so until there was nothing left.
Kara couldn’t believe what she just saw. She never thought that her timid dog would be the one stealing the food this time!
Now that River is finally caught, it would be so hard to gain her mom’s trust again. Well, we wish you good luck in convincing your mom, naughty girl!
