A lot of people recommend owning more than one dog. This is because dogs are pack animals and are very social, just like us. Having a companion that they can consider as a sibling is good for their well-being.

With that in mind, here’s what it’s like when a solo pet finally gets a companion.

Max is a German shepherd who’s lived as a solo pet all his life. He’s used to being spoiled and getting all the attention. However, whenever his owner is not around, he gets really lonely. Fortunately, the owner noticed this and adopted another dog to address the issue.

No one knew how Max would react to a new dog coming into the house. Still, the owner had high hopes that Max would react positively. His prayer was answered because Max had a great reaction when he saw the new puppy called Murphy.

The German shepherd was fascinated with what he saw. He came face to face with a tiny retriever dog who was equally as curious as him. It didn’t take long before the two dogs started playing.

Max was eager to play with Murphy, but he didn’t want to share his toys just yet. Since he’s used to being spoiled and having all the toys, he needed to learn how to share. Fortunately, Max eventually learned to share. Max has also become a role model for the little puppy.

When the owner observed Murphy, he noticed that his behavior was very similar to Max’s when he was a puppy. This made the owner feel confident that the friendship between the two would only get better. They are both equally goofy and willing to play endlessly.

Because of Murphy, the owner managed to put an end to Max’s loneliness. However, taking care of the new dog came with small challenges. Yet, such challenges were nothing compared to the benefits of having Murphy.
