A dog named Gilsoon was found lying comfortably on a woman’s stoop. He has been there for a while.

The woman would try to make him go away. Gilsoon would get off the woman’s stoop and would lay down in the middle of the road instead. This is very dangerous.

Gilsoon won’t even move when a car passes by. He would just lay there with no care in the world. This frustrates the woman. She feels obliged to get Gilsoon off the road to prevent him from getting run over by a car.

The woman tried to bring Gilsoon inside her house because she thought it’s what Gilsoon wanted. It wasn’t.

The moment the woman brought him inside, Gilsoon tried pushing the door with his paws. He did not want to be there. The woman guessed that he just wanted to stay in her front stoop.

Gilsoon staying at a stranger’s stoop started about two months ago when the woman walked her dog. She saw Gilsoon following them. He followed them home and has been staying in front of the woman’s house. The woman wanted to help Gilsoon.

She wanted to bring him to a hospital, so she tried to put him in a cage. The moment she tried this, Gilsoon started to shake in fear. It seems that Gilsoon did not have a good past. Cages bring back bad memories for him.

A vet then went to the woman’s house and checked Gilsoon. Gilsoon was about three years old, according to the vet, and he had no gum infections. The doctor still needed them to bring the dog to the clinic to have his blood work.

When they were able to get the results, they found out that Gilsoon had a severe heartworm infection. He needed to stay in the clinic and get his treatment. His treatment would take two weeks.

Gilsoon is still fortunate. Even after going through a terrible ordeal, a stranger still cares for him. The woman keeps visiting him in the clinic and has plans to adopt him once he is healthy enough.
