The Covid-19 pandemic has affected not only people but animals as well. Pets who were used to getting their daily dose of interaction with others are forced to avoid them altogether.
Dogs know all too well that staying at home is not as easy as it sounds. They need to be able to play outside. Otherwise, they’ll get bored at home.
For a Texas-based pooch named Blue, it is his daily walks that he misses the most. With the quarantine in place to stop the spread of the virus, pets and their owners are forced to limit their walks outside.
Blue’s owner, 28-year-old Cady McNerney, was able to capture on film her dog’s antics every time they go out for a walk. When it is time for them to head back home, Blue would play dead and refuse to budge.
Blue refuses to listen even when Cady orders him to “come.” Cady does her best to encourage Blue to get up and go home, but the dog just flat out refuses to listen.
Cady even tries to pull on the heavy dog to get him to stand up, but to no avail. She tries leaving him behind, leash and all, but he wouldn’t move an inch.
Finally, Cady takes out her ace – a doggie treat. Coaxing Blue with the treat, Cady manages to get him to get up and walk. Blue would take the treat and eat it, then goes on to walk together with Cady.
As the pair starts walking back home again, Blue drops to the ground just a few feet away, continuing with his antics. He just refuses to go home! And we totally understand how he feels.
Cady has managed to capture several walks where Blue plays dead to avoid going home, and the adorable pooch is just hilarious.
