Jim is a friendly dog. One day, his owner and Jim were relaxing in a boat on Suttons Bay, Michigan. They saw a bear swimming in the water and about to approach them. Jim’s owner decided to take a video that they can post.

While taking the footage, Jim’s owner noticed that his pet was enticed to join the bear in the water. The owner was trying her best to convince Jim not to plunge in the water. The dog was attentively listening to his owner. But the appearance of the bear getting closer to them has made him more eager to swim with the bear.

In the video, the owner was telling Jim to get inside the boat. But it seemed that the dog was confused about whether to listen to his owner or go with the bear. The bear went up to the dock area and hung around a picnic table. After a while, the bear went into the woods.

Jim seemed disappointed seeing the bear walking away. Perhaps, the dog was disappointed that he was not given a chance to have a closer encounter with the bear. Whatever the reason why the owner would not allow Jim to approach the bear must be for the safety of his pet.

If Jim was allowed to swim into the water with the bear, we don’t know what would happen. We know that dogs are good swimmer, but no one could tell what may happen between the two. Or, if the dog approached the bear most likely the owner would have a difficult time if Jim o with the bear into the woods.

It is usual for owners to think about the safety of their pet. After all, they must protect them to avoid untoward incidents that may lead to injury or worse losing their pets. If you are the owner of Jim, will you do the same way too?
