Dogs always fancy showing their affection toward their human family. But their love is boundless and not restricted to a particular species. Their heart has space for everyone and anyone.
Recently, a dog named Georgia showed everyone that her motherly love was not only for her puppies. She was more than happy to give the same love to three orphaned kittens.
The pooch was living at a gas station located close to the U.S-Mexico border. She was late in her pregnancy and was starving on the streets when an animal shelter rescue team picked her up. However, despite the care and attention given to the dog, the shelter staff couldn’t save her puppies.
The founder of the shelter named Sunshine Dog Rescue, Anita Osa, said that the dog was devastated after losing her puppies. She was frantic after her loss. The poor pooch even tore up the toddler mattress that the staff had put on her in an effort to find her babies.
Anita’s heart was broken because of the dog’s ordeal, so she decided to do something about it. She went to social media and told Georgia’s story. She asked people if they knew any animals who needed nursing so that they could be given to Georgia. And that’s how a trio of orphaned kittens arrived at the shelter.
After losing their mother immediately as soon as coming into this world, the kittens desperately needed a foster mom. And Georgia was there for them not only to feed them but also to give them the love that they required.
Anita was initially not sure in the beginning about how the dog would react to the kittens, but she was utterly surprised to see the quick bond she formed with the felines.
Despite her painful and tragic loss, the dog had a new opportunity to be happy, and she didn’t waste any time to grab it.
