LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) officers found a stray puppy on Hobart Boulevard in Los Angeles and decided to take him in and make him part of their K-9 unit. The officers, Mercado and Tavera, were on patrol when they saw the tiny, chocolate-colored puppy wandering the streets by himself. The police officers picked him up and placed him in the back seat of their car.
They named the puppy Hobart and took him back to the station. Hobart quickly bonded with his rescuers and kept on following Officer Mercado on a video shared on the LAPD Hollywood Division Twitter account. The department eventually welcomed Hobart as their newest K-9 officer, who quickly became a hit on social media.
