Dogs know a lot of skills and tricks. Some can sing and dance. Some know how to give a high-five and shake hands with you. But here’s a clever dog that stands out from the rest.

Darrel is a rescued dog. He may look like an ordinary canine, but would you believe that he knows how to ride a skateboard? And that’s not all. He is doing this to help people battling Alzheimer’s Disease.

Hailey Adair, Darrel’s owner, shares that the furry canine has always been her assistant. Ever since Darrel was a puppy, she has been taking him to her job in the Alzheimer’s Association. Since then, he has been an important part of the operation.

Samantha Chapman, a co-worker, shares that Darrel is a very smart dog and is more like an office member than a dog. Darrel doesn’t just boost people’s morale in the workplace. He actually brings joy and laughter to every person who walks in.

Isn’t he adorable?

However, because of the lockdown due to the Coronavirus scare, Darrel had been struggling to stay at home. He missed the social life he had in the workplace. Hailey, seeing how sad Darrel was, decided to teach him a new skill – skateboarding!

Hailey shares that she decided to teach skateboarding to her little pooch to make all of them active during the lockdown. Though Darrel started out slow, after a lot of practice, he is now quite a good skateboarder. Whenever he sees a board, he jumps on it right away and has some fun.

Darrel has an Instagram page where you can see a lot of his skateboarding skills. He will be skateboarding soon to help raise money for Alzheimer’s research.
